Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are determined to dispel the “speculative narratives” about the end of their union.
The “Game of Thrones” star and Jonas Brothers musician, who filed for divorce in Florida on Tuesday the 13th of May, took to Instagram this Wednesday in order to end their silence about the issue by posting an “statement from the two of us.”
“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” their joint declaration read. “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
The pair turned off comments on the identical posts, which appeared on each of their Instagram grids.
Jonas 34, Jonas, has filed papers on Tuesday in the Florida’s Miami-Dade County, stating that his relationship with star was “irretrievably broken.” The “Sucker” singer took legal action shortly after rumors surfaced on the internet over the weekend claiming that he’d engaged a divorce lawyer.
They and British actor who is 27, got married in the year 2019 after being together for three years. Jonas his divorce petition states that they will have their children jointly who are ages 1 and 3. Their privacy they’ve guarded with aplomb.
The report also confirmed it was true that Jonas and Turner had signed a prenuptial agreement and that the partners “have the ability” and “should … be required” to offer financial assistance to their children.
The future couple welcomed their first child, Willa, in July 2020. Two years later, almost exactly, Turner gave birth to another daughter who’s name has not yet revealed.
